KUJA DOSHAM (Manglik)

Now and then discussions are going on Kuja dosham (manglik dosh) in individual’s chart. Let’s have a look on this topic.
Manglik dosh is caused by Mars. As per most of the principles laid down in astrology, Manglik dosh may cause disturbance in married life. Late marriage or no marriage, death of life partner, separation from life partner (divorce or being abandoned by life partner) are some of the results attributed to Manglik dosh.
What is meant by Manglik dosh? Here are the combinations.
Position of Mars in ascendant, in 7th house or in 2nd house or in 8th house or in 4th house or in 12th house from the ascendant. Certain exceptions are also there. When Mars is positioned in cancer (debilitation) and cancer being 7th house from the ascendant, Manglik dosh is annulled. This is what astrological texts broadly say. Some books further attribute Manglik dosh to the above combinations counting from Moon’s position in the birth chart.
But first let us clarify that the Manglik dosh can be taken into consideration not in all the above combinations. Negative effects are seen mostly in two combinations. They are, position of Mars in ascendant or 7th house. When Mars is positioned in other houses, there is no negative effect. Mars position from the Moon’s house can also be totally ignored.
When Mars is positioned either in ascendant or 7th house, it is affecting the married life of the individuals, mostly sufferings by life partners.
Mostly when Manglik dosh is present in one’s horoscope, his or her life partner has to suffer a setback in life. Why because, Mars aspects 7th house very strongly and malefic vision is present in such combination.
A good number of horoscopes have been taken up for examination on this topic. The results are varied as mentioned above. The following are the results in order of the gravity i.e. lesser effect to stronger effect.
1. Unable to find a life partner before 25. (not bad at all)
2. Life partner’s birth ascendant being ruled by Mars i.e. Aeries or Scorpio. (not bad at all).
3. Life partner’s birth star being ruled by Mars i.e. Mrigasira or Chitta or Dhanishta (not bad at all).
4. Having Mars either in ascendant or 7th house (not bad at all). In fact Manglik dosh is totally neutralized with this combination.
5. Separation from life partner for a long time. Positive effect may be such as life partner staying at some other place on account of job and unable to meet the life partner frequently. (not bad).
6. Separation due to disputes (bad to certain extent)
7. Divorce (bad effect)
8. Prolonged illness of life partner (bad effect)
9. Death of life partner (Very bad effect).
Impact on individual’s life.
When Mars is present either in ascendant or 7th house, the person is tend to meet with accidents and receive injuries. Receiving injuries on some other account also cannot be ruled out.
Impact on life partner.
When an individual is seeking alliance the following scenario may be kept in mind apart from the combinations mentioned above.
If the Manglik dosh is present in anybody’s horoscope, please take care to choose life partner having planetary combinations mentioned at 1 to 4, so that Manglik dosh is neutralized.
If the Manglik dosh is not present in anybody’s horoscope, they may avoid marriage with persons having Mars either in ascendant or 7th house to avoid negative effects as mentioned at 5 to 9.
Marrying a person whose Mars is positioned in 2nd, 4th 8th or 12th house will have no ill effect either on them or their life partner. The same thing of position of Mars from the Moon.
If unknowingly marriage takes place between Manglik and Non-Manglik, mostly Non-Manglik has to suffer.
In such case, the best remedy is worshiping of Lord Kumara Swamy (also known as Shanmugan, Subramanya etc. names) to reduce the negative effects.
In conclusion position of Mars in ascendant or 7th house should be taken care of. Placement of Mars in other positions is negligible. It will not affect married life. If any negative things happen in married life in such combinations, it should be examined if other negative combinations are present, which may not be related to Mars.
